Health Guidelines

We want everyone to have a safe and healthy experience in our classes, and we want your class experience to be as normal as possible. Being together and making music in a group setting is wonderful way to boost emotional and mental health for adults and children, and our goal is to support that as much as possible.

Our health guidelines are as follows:

  • All families will be asked to sign/accept a liability waiver before their first class

  • All hard instruments that went into a child's mouth will be sanitized between classes.

  • Classes are held in larger spaces. Families will not be asked to strictly sit apart, but there will be space for families to spread out if desired. However, there may be times when families will be asked to sit closer together for a certain song or activity. If they want, families can choose to remain outside the close circle at those times.

  • Parents are asked to try to keep their children close to them. Bringing a blanket to sit on can help with that. However, we know that children want to explore and socialize with other kids, and we also know that some kids are kinesthetic learners and really need to move. We'll do our best to find a balance that meets children's needs in each class.

  • As always, families will be asked to treat each other with kindness and respect, recognizing that everyone is doing their best in a difficult time, and everyone is making the choices that seem best for them and their family.

We ask families to stay home if they or their child is sick or has a fever. However, we also understand about teething, allergies, asthma issues, and lingering coughs after getting over a cold. We offer unlimited makeup classes so that families don't feel pressured to attend classes when sick. We are very willing to work with families to help them receive all the classes for which they have paid, especially if an unexpected illness throws life off.

If anything about this plan needs to change, enrolled families will be informed of the new guidlines by two weeks before the start of class. Families can withdraw up to a week before class without being charged a fee. (See more information on withdrawing from a class on the Classroom FAQs page.
